I am so glad I found this site! I have been unable to find any information or discussion on vaginal tightness. I just had my first baby which was 9lbs 8oz. I had a vaginal birth at home with a midwife and my labor lasted 27 hours. I noticed a change in my vagina after delivery. It seemed to be saggy and have less tone. I had a second degree tear and had a couple of sutures. I have been doing kegels like crazy and it has seemed to help a bit but I would like to imporve things even more. I also have had problems with air getting trapped inside my vagina and making noise when it releases. I never had any of these problems until I had the baby. At my 6 week post pardum visit (yesterday) my OB/GYN said I cannot expect things to go back to "normal" afer having a large baby and a long delivery. She also stated that my uterus is "tipped" back a bit. I left her office crying feeling as if having a baby ruined my vagina and possibly my sex life with my husband. I am thinking of changing health care providers. Please help....I need some encouragement.

Yes! You need the hormones DHEA/androstenedione/testosterone and the neuro-nutrients for the neurotransitters acetylcholine and nitric oxide, in conjunction with your vaginal exercises to help you restore your vaginal tightness and strength.
With a limit of the hormones in your vaginal tissues, vaginal exercises can only achieve a very limited result.
