I first discovered the pleasures of masturbation when i was 12 years old. I quickly abused it, ejaculating for the most part, at least 2 times a day, sometimes excessively more. I recall by the time i was 14, i noticed my erection getting weaker, yet I still masturbated. At first it felt so good, sometimes I would masturbate and experience a blacking out and weakness in the knees when I orgasmed. But eventually, the good feelings started to fade. I must have done a pretty good job of depleting my hormones because by the time I was 16, I started feeling very depressed. when I turned 17, I went to a urologist who ran tests on me and found that my testosterone levels were only 242!! He also recommended Hormone Replacement Therapy because he said my testicles were small for a 17 year old (How embarrassing to be told this!- yet its true, I do feel that my testicles and penis have shrunk due to my behavior). I've experienced testicular pain, low back pain and pain in the tailbone.  My semen, once thick and voluminous, is now watery and thin. Any ejaculation i have is not powerful.

Obviously, my erections are very weak. I have premature ejaculation, and now my sex drive is very low. I haven't experienced morning erections regularly since 15 or 16. My only exception is when I have been on a rigorous exercise regiment (running, and weight lifting), that gets my sex drive as well as overall good-feeling improved. I now practice Tai Chi- despite the benefits and good feelings from doing it, It does NOT help my sex drive.

What role does exercise play in helping me overcome this? I realize my addictive behavior was detrimental, But I believe this addictive behavior was a result of being around people with addictive behaviors ( My parents were very controlling, EXTREMELY strict, very neglecting and also... Alcoholics). I just recently moved out and noticed that I do not have the urge to masturbate like I used to.

Genes do affect the brain and internal organ function, but the brain and nervous function keep change for adaptation of your daily life in response to stress. There is no questions about the effects of genes and body/mind evolution
The change of the brain and nervous function is called neuroplasticity.
Neuroplasticity plays the central role of leaning, memory and addiction for better or worse.
Drug abuse,  medication, sex, study, and other psychological /trauma stress cause neuroplasticity.
Excessive sex and drug abuse causes the upgrading neuroplasticity of the noradrenergic/sympathetic nervous system, but degrading neuroplasticity of the serotonin and GABA nervous system. As a result, the serotonin and GABA nervous system can no longer be able to control/modulate the hypothalamic and adrenal dopamine-norepinephrine conversion and noradrenergic/sympathetic nervous system. The worst situation is the chronic excessive dopamine-norepinephrine conversion for inflammation, anxiety, stress, depression, elevation of core temperature, and loss of healing power. At the extreme, it results in post trauma stress disorders (PTSD) or post orgasm stress disorders (POSD).
